Hello my name is Tim Haguewood im retired and on a fixed income when i bought my computer the next item i wanted was a digital camera so i saved untill I could afford one , I got one of the best money could buy it was a Casio Digital Camera, I have 12 grand kids and love to take pictures of them so I was fixed up and ready to enjoy my camera and record my grandkids for their future . I wanted to use the best batteries in my camera so I bought Duracell they had a guarantee that if thier batteries ruined any devices that thay were used in they would repair or replace the device , on or about the 6th of dec,1998 I noticed that my camera was laying on my desk and there was some fluid under it , I investigated and found that a battery had ruptured and had ruined my camera, I then looked up the address on line for duracell and promply wrote to them telling them about the problem , I got a response from Andrea Rearden asking me to send them the batteries for inspection by their quality controll dept , which like a fool i did, they responded telling me that they were glad to tell me that the batteries had been discharged at a high rate and that a safety valve had been activated. and that they were glad it wasnt the fault of the batteries ,DUH,- they did send me cupons for $9.00 worth of free batteries and thanked me for using their batteries, well Ill never again use them and im glad they were so nice .but now im with out a camera till I can save enough to buy another one and I think i will use the Bunney Batteries this time and i will never use a Duracell if my life depends on it so take it from some one who got bit dont believe what they advertize for a guarantee its just a gimick to get you to but their product.
